International CooperationFREA actively collaborates with local universities and major research organizations in Japan and abroad. FREA oers its own research personnel, advanced research facilities and wide network to strengthen ties with our research partners.Collaboration with Research OrganizationsActivities for Open InnovationPromotion of International CollaborationCollaboration with Local IndustriesOutreach of Research ResultsThe Global Alliance for Solar Energy Research Institutes (AIST, Fraunhofer ISE and NREL) convened a worldwide gather-ing of experts to discuss the future role of photovoltaics in energy prosperity and climate change mitigation.Through collaboration with local municipalities FREA participates in the activities of the Fukushima Renewable Energy Related Indus-try Promotion Research Society and exhibits at events for promot-ing local industries.This is an annual event for the public. We guide the partici-pants through our laboratory to give them a sense of advanced technologies.
